How you update off in windows 8 or 8.1 with screenshot

Windows 8 update off:

First go to windows task manager

then select the option (services)

open the (open services) option

now find the option windows update

now click on the option windows update now u can find a option start up type

Now you can update off by selecting disabled then apply and ok. By this way you can update on if you need next time.
